On March 7, 2013, Facebook announced a redesign for the News Feed. It’s the first time since 2011 that the News Feed is getting a makeover – and this time, it’s mobile first. For the first time, mobile, tablet and desktop versions of Facebook (read: News Feed) will all be the same. The desktop version will feel much more like the native mobile/tablet app, highlighting a cleaner design, removing clutter and focusing on the content.
