When you love someone, you want to shout it from a mountaintop. For Valentine’s Day, AT&T allowed people everywhere to do just that, by placing some very vocal mountain men on a California mountaintop to do the shouting for them.
Users submitted their messages of love through Facebook or Twitter and watched as their words of love were shouted from the mountain top during a live Valentine’s Day webcast on Facebook.
A video of their shout would be quickly edited and posted on the sender’s Facebook wall, which they could then share with their Valentine and friends.
Over 120,000 people visited the site during the one-day event. In all, 20,000 submissions were made and AT&T received a ten percent boost in Facebook“likes.”
To top it all off, there were even 11 marriage proposals made from the mountaintop.
By recognizing Valentine’s Day as a major opportunity to connect with its audience, AT&T fulfilled its promise to help the world Rethink Possible.
